After cleansing and toning, if your skin is overall oily, apply a full pump amount onto the face. Gently spread and press into your skin until well absorbed and follow your usual skincare regimen.
For combination skin types (have specific areas on the face that tends to get oiler such as your t-zone), after cleansing and toning, apply a small amount on desired areas only. Gently press it into your skin until well absorbed before moving on to the rest of your skincare regimen.

I’ve been using this for about 4-5 months now (only targeting my t-zone area) sometimes during the AM and sometimes PM and sometimes both on the same day and it has a nice application that absorbs quickly but it didn’t really control my excess sebum to the extent I hoped for. When it’s applied overnight, there’s almost no difference in reduction of oiliness — this seems to be true whether my room is closed completely or whether I leave the window open. When applied in the morning, it does reduce the oiliness on the surface somewhat but my skin still overall has a notable layer of oiliness — not a super oily condition at all but enough excess sebum to still want to use a blotting sheet — which becomes especially apparent just after a few hours. I will say though that despite a remaining oily layer, shine is notably reduced with some matiffication. I’m not sure if maybe this is a product that requires an even longer duration for deep results to *really* manifest as it seems to have excelled for a lot of other people but was just decent for me, and I’m glad I got it on a 75% off sale because otherwise $28 is a lot for this size and I didn’t benefit much from it. On another note, the packaging of this is designed nicely, specifically the product lifting up inside with use.

I use this before make up application and my face is shine-free throughout the day. It really keeps the oil at bay yet my skin still feels hydrated.

i bought this not expecting much after i saw it advertised on youtube. it's hard to find anything that actually makes a difference in controlling my oily skin, but this does. it noticeably reduces excess sebum production and overall makes my skin look so much better throughout the day.

I bought this essence on a whim, without thinking too much about it, but after trying it, I really loved it! I use it as a sort of primer before my foundation and it really helps a ton. It's nice to layer, feels smooth and silky on my skin and is light and nice to wear, especially under makeup. Will definitely buy it again.
